Tell Me: How do you party?

For my 10th birthday we had a big baseball game.
My 7th was a surprise party. I still remember being scared when I came in the door and everyone shouted.
For my 3rd birthday we had a home made carnival in the backyard.
For my 12th birthday I remember really wanting to rent a limo.
My 6th was a scavenger hunt around the neighborhood. (I remember having to follow a web of yarn around the house and I think at the end was a few goldfish.)
My 16th started with a trip to the DMV (I think I was 2nd in line) and ended with my very first date with the cute guy I was crushing on (and we doubled with my best friend and her date!).

Tell me: What was your favorite birthday party ever?
(And/or did you ever attend any that you thought were out of this world?)

PS The entrys are closed for the Photography package giveaway, and I'll be announcing the winners in the next day or two. Thanks for your patience.

For my 16th birthday party my dad did a scavenger hunt all across our small town, so we had to drive to all the clues. It was really, really cool.

I'm so jealous of your limo!! That's what I want for my reception:)

For my 12th party I got to invite boys (big deal-right?) and we had it at Trafalga. For my 24th my roommate didn't know it was my birthday till that day---so while I was on a date that night she invited a few people over and threw me a surprise party. It's one of my favorite birthday memories.

My 8th birthday party was at Chucky Cheese (you know--before it was ghetto); my 14th birthday party was a Halloween party which was a total blast and my 16th birthday party was a surprise party which ended with a kiss from a super cute guy!!

...like it's 1999! Happy birthday a few days ago! Hope it was a good one. :) I don't have any birthdays that really stand out to me. Sad huh? I still really loved my birthday growing up and got to celebrate it every year with my grandma (same b-day) so that was always special. My kids, on the other hand...I love throwing their parties. I'm thinking that I need to start making them lamer so they don't expect too much when they're older.

Yes, how was your birthday lady?!?

Best birthdays? Hard, I've had a BUNCH of REALLY bad ones. My birthday (June 30th) almost always falls when it was Girls Camp, Youth Conference, EFY or a family reunion.

But a few years ago some friends of mine suprised me with a trip to Vegas for the weekend. I know, AMAZING! That was a blast!

My 21st we had a poker party which was a blast. A friend dressed in a tux and he dealt at the black jack table. We listened to the Ocean's 11 soundtrack. It was SO FUN!

I haven't had a chance to attend many birthday parties nor have I had many birthday parties of my own. Because I hadn't really had a birthday party of my own, Corey threw me a surprise party for my 25th birthday. It was a lot of fun and I really enjoyed that.

Honestly, the only party I can actually remember we went to a water park and all got sunburned. But it was fun!

Number 8 was my very favorite. The later years only brought a lot of drama.

My favorite birthday party was not a party. It was a quiet day with my husband. The worst one? A surprise party for my 16th.

Well for the big 2-8 a few months ago, I jumped on a plane and went to DISNEYLAND with my BFF... it was pretty much the greatest birthday ever... we just made a quick weekend of it and saw Mary Poppins the musical the next day, then came home... short weekend, but super fun... I didn't have a lot of big parties as a kid... I don't know that I ever cared that much because I didn't like all the girls in my primary class! (ha, I'm horrible!!)

My favorite bday was my 30th! I threw myself the awesomest party! I made a really cool (and yummy) topsy-turvy cake. And since I love dressing up, I made it a costume party...5 days before Christmas! And we had some fun games, tons of delicious food, and a goofy white elephant gift exchange! I got to see lots of my friends that were in town for the holidays. It was great!!!

As a kid, my favorite was my 7th. It was a swimming party and had to be postponed because I had the chicken pox on my actual bday, so by the time it rolled around it was time to PARTY!

As an adult I'd say the best was my 21st, that's the night Greg kissed me for the first time. Ahhhh...... Everything else has been a let down after that! :)

My best birthday was my 26th, which was the day I gave birth to my daughter. That one is basically impossible to top, but spending her fifth birthday (& my 31st) at Disneyland last year was pretty darn awesome too. :)
