Random Ramblings

I have never ever waited this long to come up with a Halloween costume. Seriously. My family is all about Haloween and in years past my Hubby has started us working on our costumes in July. Literally yesterday I went out to the shed and pulled out our costume boxes and found an oldie but goodie. Then at 10:30 last night I called my mom and asked her if I could borrow something I had in mind. We'll see if it turns out ok tonight.

I spent a good 2 hours last night finding, printing, cutting, and gluing a kagillion of these. I know it doesnt seem like it should take 2 hours but I had a few interruptions from kiddos who were supposed to be in bed. Are you wondering what the heck I'm doing? A giant cake walk my friends. I hope it works ok.

The Mommy-Files is hosting Christmas Swap. Sorta like the Halloween swap I just participated in. If you're interested go check it out. I think the deadline is Nov 10th or before so she can have it all ready by then.

I've done two blog swaps (the one above and a 4th of July one) before and they're really a lot of fun. You swap emails/blog info with another person and then you go out shopping (usually there's a $20ish limit) and then you ship your goodies and share with everyone. Plus then you can go back and check out the McLinky and see what everyone else did too. I think they're WAY fun.

Saw my kids being cute. They're playing "Row, Row, Row Your Boat". This came after the "I'm the mom and I'll drive you to the doctors" game I saw them playing on the stairs because my daughter found a keyring of keys. I love watching their imaginations play! I guess today was transportation day.

I was working on my costume tonight. I'm pretty sure it was better in my head than in real life.

You are ahead of me still. I haven't even begun to think about a costume. Oh well, there is always next year!

Thanks for the info on the swaps. I'm going to check it out!

I decided that I am a success if I just get Van dressed up. Maybe one of these years I will dress up, because Van would love me to...but I am lame!

I've never been big on dressing up for Halloween. This year I am a cowgirl-cuz my friend just gave me some boots and I happen to have a snap shirt and cowgirl hat:)

I just got a costume together two days ago, and my family is also big on halloween. What can I say, I've been busy!

Love the pretending. My kids do it too, and I love watching them when they don't know it.

I totally bummed out of Halloween this year. I'm just re-wearing my brain slug from last year. I hope your costume turns out! Can't wait to see pictures.

Your kids are so cute! I love watching the games that kids come up with.

I never dress up. I'm so lazy. I really am. I was thinking about digging a witches hat out of my girls dress up to wear to the trunk or treat tonight. We'll see. . .

I remember the days when you used to post these things to your other blog. Seems like you've moved over fully? Cute kiddos.

That Christmas swap sounds really fun, but I'm really bad at mailing cards let alone gifts!

I was sad that Tarl wasn't around to decorate your porch for Halloween. I always like seeing that!
