Tell me Tuesday: 30 for 30

My 29th birthday is coming up and I've been toying with the idea of coming up with a list of

30 things before 30.

I like to think I try new things but it's always fun to get ideas from other places since I'm sure many of them would be things I haven't thought of before.

What do you say? Will you help me out? Throw out a few ideas for me in the comments and I'll try to make my list up here in the next couple of weeks.

Edit: Here's my current list of 30 Things to do before I'm 30.

I've considered this idea too.

1. Maybe you should do something to increase or start to like your veggies? Like try 3 new veggie recipes a week. I've got a ton that you could try?

2. I always want to change around my wardrobe so you could make a goal to try new outfit combos

3. I love ethnic food so I'd say make a goal to go to like 10 new resturants rather than the same-old-same-old

4. Maybe finish your book? So that I can read it! WOOT!

5. You've been trying to sew maybe you could make a goal to make yourself a skirt or something- or are you more advanced than that? I can't remember.

6. I've been wanting to take a cooking class like Italian or something. That something I'd totally do with you- like a community ed thing or something.

7. Really anything you've been wanting to learn I'd take a class for that- belly dancing? boook binding? Spanish? etc.

8. Health goals are a pain but always a good thing. I'm hating them today :) but glad i'm doing it!

9. Maybe more cultural events- ballet, opera, art exhibits. They aren't free or anything but maybe saying I'll go to 1 every other month?

I'll keep brainstorming ideas- can't wait to see what you come up with! Share 'em so I can make a list too!

shoot - I'm pushing 40 and I've been trying to come up with a similar list (only longer...) so I'm going to watch for some great ideas here :)

I'm starting to think my things are going to have to be small... like finally baking a 3 layer cake that doesn't look like it's about to tip over?

What about read 30 books, one published each year from the year you were born to the year you turn 30. (Basically, you gotta read one quickly in 2012.)

Here's a few random things you could try-
1- Learn to knit
2- Take a scuba diving class
3- Visit a far away friend that you haven't seen for a long time :)
4- Write letters of appreciation to favorite teachers who helped shape your future
5- Do something you're afraid of (obviously killing spiders isn't an issue... so maybe something a little harder)
6- I'll echo Olivia's #4
7- Go to local events or sights that you've never been to.
8- Set aside an hour of time on the 30th of every month for personal meditation time.

I'm not sure if those are at all interesting! I'm interested to see what your list looks like!

I would really like to see whales, maybe in Alaska. I am fascinated by these creatures (so much so that I probably enjoyed SeaWorld much more than my kids, did).
But I always say I'm not 30-something...I'm 29.95 plus shipping and handling.
