Schlotzskys (Funny name, Serious Sandwich)

Have you heard of this place? Several (read 10+) years ago there used to be a half dozen or so within a 40 mile stretch near my home. Now there is two (I believe) in my whole state.

Luckily for me one is just about 5 minutes from my parents house (although sadly thats 45 minutes from my house). There also happens to be another one near my in-laws house (again not too close to my house as it's 4 hours away). I won't be discouraged though.

This heavenly goodness is a great treat (yes treat because these puppys pack a huge deli meat punch). I always order the Turkey Original on Sourdough bread. Delicious! They pile on the deli meats and the bread is that perfect blend of soft and chewy yet crispy deliciously toasted. My mother in law knows how much I love this delectable divinity and kindly took me out to get one this evening. Props to a good sandwich!

I like that place as well--I like the tuna sandwich--I haven't been there for so long I don't know if they have that selection anymore--hmmm I'll have to check that out.

I've heard of them. I've eaten there twice, I think. At the time, I wasn't really into sandwiches, so I didn't like them too much. But, I'm sure I'd like them now. :) That was nice of your mother-in-law to take you there!

I love a good sandwich. I'll have to see if I can find one of those near us (kind of). I have yet to find a better sandwich the Kneaders. That has to be the best one yet.

There was one of these in Idaho Falls. I don't know if it is still there, but we would go either there or to A&W on every trip down. Mmmmmm.

I've googled them in a few places. I know there are two in Utah and at least two in Idaho (maybe more). I'm not sure about other places but I think maybe CA has a bunch.

If anyone ever wants to go give me a call~!

Mmm... I love me some Schlotzsky's! They're everywhere in Texas and I'm an addict too! In fact, a few days after I got my wisdom teeth removed I could no longer handle the soft-foods diet I was on, so I went and got me one of these sandwiches and accidentally pulled out my stitches! ooops!
