Random Ramblings

Do you ever plan lazy days? Days you're actually gonna stay in your jammies, go no where, have no contact with the outside world sorta days? Days you'd do whatever it is you want. All the movies, tv, books, sleeping and all that other good lazy stuff you can roll around in. I wish I could schedule one of these every other week. Talk about a sweet little rejuvenation.

One of my hubbys dream jobs was to join the Marines. (Without going into all our family talks about this, he's thinking National Gaurd now just to get involved somehow). He's gone through a few phases of getting really intense of looking into it, researching it, gather info to cpnvince me this is for our family. Then he starts watching some war movies. Like last nights movie: Black Hawk Down. I'm not so sure thats the best way to make me feel good about this.

Today's my hubby's birthday. He's the kinda person that likes no extra attention on this day. In fact he won't even answer the phone and our families know it, so they are good about leaving birthday messages a day later. What are you like? Me, I like all the attention I can get!

I'm like you -- people better remember it's my day! And I want a SURPRISE!!

I obviously have strong feelings about the armed services. They owe us a lot of money, and HI, we're in a war. I was so glad Superman got out when he did. But you know we're in a war -- I'm sure that's the biggest reason for your concern. I hear the benefits are better now, and terms of services shorter, so that's different from when Superman was in.

Anyway.....good luck with that. ♥♥

I don't plan as many lazy days as I should. I fully intend on have lazy mental heath days for my babies once they are in school.

War and army stuff scares me a little. I am so grateful for the people who do it but it would be difficult for me if Scoot joined- I'm just SUCH a worrier.

I like and don't like attention on my birthday. I want people to do things for it but I feel shy when they do- does that makes sense? It's all very stressful for Scott find the right balance of attention and relaxing-ness.

John has too many health problems for any branch of the service to let him in. And let me tell you, I wouldn't have it any other way. I am not cut out to be an army wife. It would literally kill me.

that's interesting about Tarl and the Marines or NG--Jeff is the same way--and then he shows me something about a guy getting killed and I'm not to happy about it. Jeff's is the Navy....

I love my birthday. Actually most months on the 29th, Dan gets a count down as to how long until my birthday. He likes birthdays just as much and we celebrate his birthday for a whole week. (I don't complain about the week, because he would really like it to be a month.) :)

1. Lazy days are awesome. Unfortunately, something always comes up and ruins them, though.

2. Yeah, Black Hawk Down or any war movie is probably not the best way to help you feel good about him joining the military. Although, Black Hawk Down is an awesome movie, mainly because of a certain someone. You know who I mean. ;)

3. You already know I love all the attention I can get on my birthday. Corey's the same way as T, though. He hates having his birthday celebrated. Our hubbies should totally get together!

Sundays is my lazy day. It's not with my husband because his Sundays are usually full with hometeaching or church meetings.

And I love getting attention for my birthday. When I was working I didn't like my co-workers know it was my birthday unless they were good friends. But, I love the attention, gifts, and be taken out!

I just tried to have a lazy day/morning today but I had some uninvited guest. It was nice while it lasted.

Yeah Black Hawk Down not a good convincing movie for his wishes.

I am more like you I like the attention and parties. My hubby is more like yours.

This was hard for me until I became ill. After an hour conversation with someone who has been battling Lupus for 30 years I decided to schedule in a lazy day. I do it once a week and I love it. The kids love it too and from that point I found and with some other life changes. I slowly started to get better. Women need time to breathe but for some reason we feel like we dont deserve it.
