Question #3-Pencil me in.

Asked by Ducksfly2gether (Who was my freshman/sophomore college roommate. Good times, goodtimes!)

Question #3:
I'm trying to figure out how you do EVERYTHING you do! What's your typical schedule these days?
---------
Um honestly I'm not completely sure. It varies from day to day as to what I leave out and what I need. So my hubby has been getting some work out of town lately, which translates to mean I do it all alone and some days I physically just can't keep. When I finally get the kids tucked in my brain jumps in to overdrive of everything that must get done and things that need to get done. Without drowning you details here's a peek at my week.

7:30-wake up (try not to bump into walls)
8:15-on way to school (one gone, two to entertain)
8:30-off and running (mark a few off, add a few on to the list)
5:00-dinner (is anyone gonna eat what I made?)
7:00-get ready for bed (spill water while brushing teeth)
7:30-kids in rooms (though yelling for mom)
8:00-mommy free time (HA, I mean continue to wrangle kids for a few hours, promise yourself you'll be in bed by 10, realize it's past midnight, wrap up projects, force self to bed just in time to do it all over again.)

And somewhere in there I throw in a little blogging and a little facebooking because honestly I need the adult interaction and a way to wind down. (So thank you friends of the internet.)

Ok really though, life seems a lot more busy than that. Though doesn't it always. As you might hear me refer to myself often times, "ask me what time it is, I'll tell you how the clock works". Here's a few of the details. :)

Mondays
Errands, Grocery shopping
Preschool with 3 y/o
Family Home Evening

Tuesdays

Preschool with 3 y/o (find sittter for little guy)
Piano (for 6 y/o)

Wednesdays

It probably looks busier once you write it all out!

WHOA! That's a lot of stuff. If someone asked about my schedule I'd like like, "Yeah... no idea." Seriously we have a loose schedule. Gym M, W, F. Switch babysitting T & Th for 2 hours & the normal FHE on Monday stuff & YW on Wed. But other than that its a free for all. I need more structure. Teach me!

You have a crazy schedule like me!! It makes me feel better. I don't have any of the 6 y/o activities, but I do have A LOT of disabled child activities like physical therapy and echo cardiograms, but I don't think its nearly as structured.

But really, I love that other busy moms take time out to blog and facebook too, because I think I might go crazy without them.

Anyone that says being a mom isn't hard and time consuming must be crazy:)

Yep, still trying to figure how you fit it all in, but I can see how writing it all down might make is seemed more organized. I'll give it a shot and pencil it all in :)

I feel like my life is super busy too even though it seems that all I do is work. Maybe, it's that lack of free time. Sure, there's a couple of hours here and there, but it feels like it goes by so quickly, right? Whereas, the rest of the day seems to crawl by at snail speed. C'est la vie, I guess. ;)

every once in a while, i like to write down all the things i did in the day. it answers so many questions: why am i so tired all the time? what did i do all day? etc.

this time of life is awesome, but part of me is really looking forward to having all my children able to dress themselves, feed themselves, pick up after themselves, and go to the bathroom by themselves.

i figure i have about 3 more years til then. it should give me at least 2 extra hours a day. until then, we're in this together. it's busy, busy all the time and finding time for ourselves means putting someone else's needs on hold.

I try not to stick to a schedule. I generally get up in the morning and decide what to do that day. I wonder if I would be more productive if I actually wrote anything down. . .

I still don't know how you do it. I think you should write a book about how to be a super mom. I'd buy it. :)

I'm glad we've managed to squeeze into part of that busy/hectic schedule. You definitely have lots of patience sister dear.

Have I ever mentioned that you're awesome?

First of all I think you are awesome to do that all by yourself with Hubby gone. But I have been like that lately too. Sometimes when I sit down at night to eat dinner with the family, which we do at least 3 times a week I think to myself, wow this is the first time I have sat down all day besides in the car to run errands. I wish there were some kind of pay for good, busy moms because I think it is the most exhausting job ever! You are great! If you need me to ever watch Tyce again in the afternoon so you can go to Makayla's class, let me know.

Survive...I feel like that often. When Hubby asks me what I did for the say.... sometimes surviving is the biggest accomplishment.
