I don't have a house, but at least my kids will.

I had one of these cute little houses growing up and thought it'd be a fun, inexpensive gift for Christmas, so I convinced my mom it'd be a fun project to work on with me. (I only had to buy 5 yards of fabric for the walls and ceiling. We used scraps for the rest of the decorations.) No really, it was fun though!

I made this for my in-laws, who have three little girls. It ended up taking us a few days of all day cutting and sewing, since we were basically just figuring it out as we went looking at the one my mom had as a model.

We had fun doing it and decided it wouldn't be that bad to make them in 'bulk' so now we're making one for me and my two sisters. They're looking so great and we're adding other things to make them personal. Like a train track instead of a road or a princess castle instead of a mushroom house. (I'll post pictures of that one when it's done.)

That is so, so, so cute!! You did an amazing job! Are you going to be selling these on etsy or at craft fairs? Truly adorable and so much fun! Makes me want to be five years old, so I can play under the card table again too! :)

That's adorable Debbie! I try to avoid sewing whenever it's possible because I'm really bad at it. I'm really impressed with your mad skillz!

First off, that house is so cute. Secondly, sorry it's taken me so long to respond. In My Mailbox is a meme created by the Story Siren in which bloggers can share items that they have received that week, even if they weren't technically in their mailbox. (Example: library books, boos you bought at a store or borrowed from a friend) I do get ARCs from publisher or authors, that would like me to review my books. In reference to you getting ARCs let me give you this link http://www.thestorysiren.com/2009/12/blog-advice.html
this is a compilation post of all the advice Story Siren has for bloggers looking to break into book reviewing. I think it is very helpful. You should definitely just review books on your site that you already have access too and if you find one you really want and advanced copy of find the books publisher or agent and jot them a note.
