New French Fries

I'm sure you figured out from my name that I adore french fries, but did you know what really started it? It was a fabulous place called Wendy's. (Someday I'll have to post my love affair with Wendys in general but today it's about the fries.)

Wendy's will now be making their fries thinner, crispier, saltier (using sea salt, which apparently is all the rage these days), and they're even going to leave a bit of skin left on.

I loved their fries before. I think a lot of people did. In fact this is the first time in 41 years they're doing this big of a change to their fries. And I gotta admit I'm curious to try the new thing. (Don't worry though, the price is still the same.)

You can bet I'll be reporting on what I think. I'm excited.

Has anyone tried them yet?

I have not tried them but now I'm dying for my standard meal from Wendy's, Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger, small fries and a small frosty.

Ok, I don't know how I feel about this. See, Wendy's fries are my personal sacred cow. I love Wendys and everything there. I did read an article yesterday though about the sea salt, apparently it adds 200mg more of sodium to the whole thing?! As for the other menu changes....no one asked me if that was ok.

Why change? They're already good---I'm not sure I'm okay with this.

I have never really been a fan of Wendy's fries (please still be my friend), but I want to try the new ones. I can't wait to hear what you think.

I have to agree with Rochelle. My husband and I both agree that Wendy's fries are our least favorite of fast food fries. (We think Burger King's are better... of course 5 guys and In-n-out or any of those places that use fresh fries are best). But I think it's great they're shaking it up a bit because I'd have a Wendy's burger over a McDonald's one anyday.

I'm in Steph and Rochelle's camp. The fries from Wendy's (at least when we've had them) are undercooked and bland. Wendy's burgers? Yum! Frosty? One-of-a-kind. Heck, Wendy's is the only fast food place I know that serves baked potato. I hope the change to Wendy's fries happens in my neck of the woods.

Wendy's fries are the best. Love dipping them in a frosty. Hopefully, they'll still be yummy.

My question is: how do they taste dipped in a frosty?

I really like wendy's fries right now also. I sure hope the new ones taste yummy too.
