Stalk the Stalkers!

I've been using this awesome FREE website for a while. It's called Site Meter. You can add it to your webpages and it'll give you information on each person that visits your site. I LOVED this when my blog was public because I was able to see how many random people checked out my site every day. It also has some fun features like telling you from where they found your blog (it'll give you the url from a friends blog, a google search, etc).

Check out their website for more information and a tutorial. I still use the basic service for free and have been happy with it, but if you're so inclined for even more info you can pay a monthly fee. I know there are several other places out there that offer a similar service so go check them out and add on to your blog.

For the nosy people of the world like me, this is an awesome new toy!

Saving your time

Feeling overwhelmed with checking all your favorite blogs or keeping up with 'returning the kind gesture' with those that check yours? A semi new application from blogger is VERY helpful in saving you time.

The idea is that you add your favorite blogs (or any that you'd like to keep track of) to your follow list. When your friends update their blog blogger adds it to the list. Instead of having to click on 30+ blogs to see if any of them have changed, you can quick as a glance see that out of 30 people that I follow, only 2 have updated. Read below to find out how.

Using the picture above here is how you do it.
Item #1 On your blogger dashboard is a list of blogs you have. Directly below that is something that looks like this, a Reading List. Item #2 shows a list of all the blogs you are following. Item #3 shows you who has updated their blog and how long ago. Item #4 is where you can go to add blogs to follow (click on 'add' and enter their url.) The alternative to to this is to add a click on someones 'follow this blog' link. This will automatically add their blog to your list.

Your Opinion Heard!

If anyone is interested (for those I haven't told this before). Here is a legitimate way to make a little dough. I've been involved with this company for the past 5 years.

To me the best part is that they actually send me free things and money! Generally I take surveys that are about 2-5 minutes long--mostly they're just trying to find out if I do enough of whatever they're asking about to qualify for more in depth questions--if so then they ask me to take a longer survey for more money.

Depending on the survey and my answers they might send me things in the mail to try at home and take another survey after I've tried it to tell them what I thought. I've made some money and also gotten some fun free things like laundry detergent, diapers(several packages in fact over the years), cologne and hair care stuff. They sent me a survey and then sent me a product to try out and then I took a follow up survey about it.

If you're interested let me know and I can send you the info. (Don't worry it's not like one of those places that charges you to start up. This is totally free. They just ask you to take surveys.)

*They are always asking for people with kids under 4 so if you fit into this category you'll probably get some good high point surveys soon after singing up.
