Reading Report 11 & GIVEAWAY

What I read from June 2-June 19

Young Adult Contemporary
Sarah Dessen's latest release and definitely a bit different than the rest of her novels.  Wonderful writing as always and solid characters. Her senior year is over and Emaline has one last summer before she knows everything will change. Or has it already?

Contemporary, Death
A reread for me. This book is intense, emotional, powerful, heartfelt, raw with tons of ups and downs. Lennie is trying to figure out her sudden obsession with boys while trying to deal with her sisters recent death. A fabulous description from goodreads "Just as much a celebration of love as it is a portrait of loss."

YA Contemporary
Reread for me. My favorite of all Dessen's novels.
Macy has always been the one to follow all the rules but recently life hasn't been working out like it used to. After a few unexpected opportunities arise she wonders if it's worth the risks and decides to break out of her box.

Young Adult, Contemporary
Reread for me. A new town, a new name, a new chance at establishing herself. Thats how McLean's been doing it every move so far. This new place though, feels a little bit more like home.

I loved "A longtime and at one point illegal crush" by Janette Rallison. And "demons at deadnight" by A &E Kirk that has a sequel to be released this summer.

I'm reading Son right now- the final installment of The Giver, and loving it.

What a lovely giveaway! I'd love to win the signed copy of ANNA & THE FRENCH KISS. I've been wanting to read it for forever. :)

THE TRUTH ABOUT FOREVER us my favorite Dessen book too, at least of the ones I've read.

Oops. Just read Unlikely Match by Sarah M. Eden. Enjoyed it a lot, but was definitely different than her other regency books.

Just read "Daisy," Kilpack's contribution to the Newport Ladies' Book Club. Liked it, wanted more. Before that, I finished "Before I say Goodbye" by Anita Stansfield. I cried a lot during that one. A very original story. I thought it was too short (a common complaint I have for LDS fiction) but I really liked it. Also reading the Infernal Devices (Mortal Instruments) series and loving it.

I really liked This Lullaby by Sarah Dessen. I just picked it up for this vacation at the beach last week and fell in love. Also, thanks for this giveaway!

I'd love to win a book that I can read by the pool this summer! I'd choose The Candy Shop War. We took the audio book with us on a drive, but never got around to it.

Do you have extras of all these? Or do you just randomly give away books you own after a while? I'm just curious because I know you've given away other books when you've become "tired" of them but I know you like these.
