Ooh-this gives me such a great list. I've been needing new books so thanks!!

I have read a few of those---like Kiss of a Stranger (which I liked, but I like her other books even better) and Variant which I thought was really great. Except I'm bummed it's a sequel and I have to wait forever to get it. I wasn't crazy about Crossed.
Love the Boxcar children and Diary of a Wimpy Kid!!

My favorite read this year was The Lost Son---it's part of Riordan's Percy Jackson series which is tied for my all-time favorite series. They're amazing. If you haven't read them, please do! Start with The Lightening Thief.

Ooh, and Melanie Jacobson's a fun author: Not My Type and The List are good reads.

And it's The Lost Hero---not son. Sorry.

@Jenni I need to read Anna Dressed in Blood. I've heard so many good things about that one.

@Barbaloot I added your recommendations to my list. I love hearing about good books! :) I read Lightning Thief this year and wanted to keep going with the series but got distracted. I should pick that one up again.

I am in awe! You must be a fast reader. I'm curious, were you exercising when you listened to the audiobooks? Whenever I check them out the kids are always talking or yelling if I try and listen while I'm cleaning, etc.

Lovely list, my friend!

Looks of good books in 2011! I just picked up Amy and Roger's Epic Detour from the library today. I'm glad to see that you liked it so much.

@kimberly I can't work out and listen to audio books. They're way to slow. I mostly listen to them on drives from here to my moms or sisters place since that gives me a large chunk of time or while I'm doing marathon cleaning days (and yes when the kids are otherwise occupied). Sometimes I'll try to listen while I'm making dinner but 95% of the time I have someone in the kitchen with me so that hasn't happened in a while. There was a time, earlier last year when I listened to like 4 in one month I think because I basically just kept the headphones around my neck and would pop it in any spare second I had (while blow drying my hair, while making lunch, driving the 8 minutes to pick up carpool, etc).
