Random Ramblings

True story: A couple of days ago I walked up to my front door and pushed the unlock button on my key chain and waited to hear my door unlock so I could open it and go in. Until I realized I'm a dork it was in fact for the automatic car door. And I needed to pull out my house key.
(Sadly this beautiful door is not mine. But it is so pretty right?)

Have you started reading yet? I'm just deciding between two dates in July. So either case start reading, tell your friends to read and lets all plan on getting together with author Sydney Salter! (**For all my bloggy friends who can't make it and/or live in another state I'd still love it if you want to participate. Read the book and send me your questions and I'll video tape them or get Sydney to answer them and post them on my blog!)
My brain should be functioning enough on Monday for me to figure out which time is better so I'm hoping to post the date then so you can put it on your calendar.

Do you google read? If so do you ever actually stop by blogs anymore?Do you feel like you're missing out on the cute backgrounds, side bars, polls?
Or do you follow and then check your dashboard? What do you do you like better?

I bought a new toothbrush this week. Love. It. It's slightly different then the last few I've been getting-this one has rubber bristles on the surrounding it. Fun new change. Then just last night at dinner a friend and I were talking and she said sometimes if I feel my self starting to get bogged at work I'll go brush my teeth. It's amazing how it helps you feel like you're starting new.

Sherrie is giving away one of her brand new CD's! Beautiful, beautiful music. I need this playing in my house.

I have such a big day tomorrow. I'm still awake. I have issues.
PS Don't forget to hug your cat tomorrow (check out my sidebar)------->

I goog;e read in my off times. That makes so much sense. . . when I feed the baby I sit down at the computer and read a couple blogs. When I sit down to blog, I actually go blog hopping.

haha - I did that once with my auto unlock... laughed at myself all day... of course my man thought I was a complete MORON!

I do both... I've got my followed blogs up on my dashboard - and then I have to get Google reader updatedfor some others... but your background is so nice I'm glad I can pop by now and then :)

and apparently we're virtual twinners - at least where toothbrushing is concerned... I love the pick-me-up of brushing my teeth a few times a day... it actually used to be a problem when I was pregnant because I brushed 50 or more times a day... can we say OCD? I'm better now, I never go over five or six :)

I use Google Reader (which also shows the blogs I follow), but I still see the real thing when there is something I want to leave a comment on.

I will hug my cat, but why? I mean, I love him (even though he sticks his wet nose in my face all the time), but why else? I'll google it.

Thanks for the shoutout! One great thing about my blog tour/Cd release (besides getting the word out) is I've seen so many new people on my blog. I love it!
I can totally relate trying to open the front door with the car keys. I call it Momzheimers.

Oh. I get it now. Thanks. :)

I use google reader but go to the blogs to comment and I also blog hop around when I get a chance to.

I think I'm going to read that book so keep me up to date. Woot, woot!

Love the automatic door story.

I use Reader exclusively. But, I actually click over most of the time, because I enjoy commenting!

And the whole sidebar thing is actually the reason I have my blog set to half feed. It forces people to click over.

Have a great weekend!

Yay! It's "Hug Your Cat" day tomorrow! I have three.

As far as reading blogs, I usually use the Google reader in my iGoogle account. I sometimes use RSS feeds, but usually only for the blogs that update a few times each day(e.g. Twilight Lexicon). With private blogs, I always go to the blog because that's the only way I can read them. But, even with non-private blogs, I still stop by to take polls, see the background, and make a comment.

Love the post, but I can't believe your writing it at what 2 or 3 in the morning! Hope your busy day goes well.

Lately I have been so busy that all I have time for is to check my sidebar once a day and see who has updated... but I love a couple of hours to bloghop:) Have a great weekend!

that's funny about the auto lock--do they have such a thing for front doors?? I've not heard of that--pretty neat if they do...
