Friday Night Blankets

I've wanted to get back into sewing so the other day I picked up a few things to do one of the more simple projects. But I couldn't just do one, because I have three kids.

So after dinner Friday night I had the urge to make my kids some blankets and I finally pulled out my sewing machine and got to work. The first one took me two tries (I accidently sewed the batting on the wrong side) but after that it was smooth, quick sailing. I still need to tie them but for now, they look good.

My kids were so excited to watch and help me. As soon as I finished each one they'd take it and go snuggle up on the couch. Then they all took them to bed last night. I sure love my little cuties.

Very nice! I had no idea you sewed. It is something I wished I had learned. Very impressed!

I'm impressed that you did three in one night! I've sewn the batting to the wrong side several time, so I know the frustration.

I like the butterfly fabric. My kids love blankets too especially homemade ones.

Thanks you guys! I was pretty excited to get them all done in one sitting. Though my husband did laugh at me since he left for school with me sitting there and came back just as I was putting my machine away a few hours later.

Jill I'm not a great sewer (I dont follow patterns well) but I do enjoy the creating things part of it!

That is so crazy adorable. I love your kiddos. Ruthie would go ga-ga over that Curious George blanket.

Those are so darn cute!! When I wanted to make blankets for my kiddos I used fleece...all it required was for me to cut it...the ultimate in lazy blankets :)

Hey, I totally have frames if you need access to some.
Love the quilts. I think it is about time I make some for my kiddos. :)
