An excerpt: When my husband and I applied for our marriage license, we simply walked up to the clerk and paid our money. He handed us a little piece of paper and said, “Next.” That was it. There was no interrogation, no screening of any kind. No one asked me if I was an ambulance driver, a paramedic, a dog whisperer, a pest exterminator, a plumber, or an emergency responder of any other ilk, nor if I was ever likely to become one.

My thoughts: This book had me smiling and laughing from the first page thinking of times these things have happened to me on many occasions. Or in some cases, I'm very grateful they haven't happened (yet!) :) The Crazy Daze of Motherhood is a fun, light read filled with short stories that are perfect to read during that quick minute of downtown any mother dreams of. :)

Jane has a great sense of humor telling about all those crazy things her kids or her family (or ok maybe her too. Do moms have to admit to crazy behavior?) have done in the past and helped me look at some of the stressful times in life with fond memories. I think this would be a fun read for any mother (and especially a great mothers day gift!).

One of my favorite stories she told was about how kids bombard you the minute you pick up the phone. She starts the chapter, "Unless you're dead, don't bother me when I'm on the telephone!" I couldn't stop laughing out loud!

Does this count as Marriage Monday? I'm way intrigued by this book. Sounds like a good "new baby" gift too - hint, hint.
